About
Capital Operations.
The name Capitops comes from two ideas: capital operations — watching the money — and being born in Canada’s capital, Ottawa.
Why this exists
You can’t optimize what you don’t quantify. Most companies under 200 people run on a stack of cloud accounts, AI APIs, and per-seat subscriptions — and nobody’s job is to reconcile them. Every dollar of spend that isn’t quantified is a decision nobody gets to make: is this justified, or is it waste compounding quietly in the background? The bills arrive in different shapes, in different currencies, from different consoles, and the one question that matters (“what are we actually spending, and on what?”) has no single place to be answered. The tools that do answer it are built for enterprises, priced by sales call, and assume a FinOps team you don’t have.
Capitops is the other answer: every bill normalized to one open standard, every number traceable to its line items, savings flagged automatically, and a price you can read on a public page.
Who’s behind it
Capitops is built by experts with years of experience managing cloud infrastructure — people who’ve seen cloud cost questions go unanswered firsthand, and who know what it takes to quantify and optimize spend, turning waste into savings. Today it’s deliberately small: when you email, the person who wrote the code answers. That cuts both ways — no account manager, and also no layers between a bug report and a fix.
